Johnston Flying Services offers student loans through Sallie Mae's Direct Loans program; we chose not to enroll in their named schools loan program for several reasons.  The primary difference in their two programs is who they mail the check to.  In the direct program, the check is mailed to the borrower and not the flight school.  We prefer this program for these reasons:  First, it requires you to first visit our school to discuss what training you are interested in, thereby helping you determine how much you need to borrow.  Second, we can then walk you through the loan application process.  And finally, we prefer that you control the money that you borrow, and not us.  For further information or to schedule a visit to fill out a loan application, please give us a call at (985)223-0766.
